As a Registered Representative, Cherie holds FINRA series 7 & 66 registrations and is also licensed with California Department of Insurance for Life, Disability, Long Term Care Insurance, and Variable Annuities.
Cherie earned her Master of Science degree in Finance from University of Michigan– Dearborn. She served as a Risk Review Manager at the Bank of China (Hong Kong), and then as a Senior Accountant at a Canadian-held technology company. After that, Cherie began working as an Independent Insurance Professional and California Tax Education Council Registered Tax Preparer.
Cherie’s diverse background and formal training, along with her attention to detail and dedication to her clients, enables her to help her clients pursue their long-term financial goals through a comprehensive and customized financial plan. She strives to build a trusted personal relationship with her clients and always puts her clients’ best interests first. What really sets Cherie apart is how she provides solutions unique to each client’s financial situation, focusing on wealth accumulation strategies to help them build sustainable income to last throughout their retirement.
Cherie’s areas of concentration include investment management, income tax planning, estate planning, insurance analysis, retirement projection, and education planning. She also has extensive knowledge of the Public Employee Retirement System (PERS) and State Teacher Retirement System (STRS). Cherie offers both institutionally managed programs and fee-based consulting to her clients.
Cherie is an active member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA). She is also a proud mom with two beautiful daughters. She enjoys getting involved with her kids’ activities, traveling, volunteering at her church and in the community, and spending time with friends and family.
